The Cattle on a Thousand Hills

33CFDA65-93C0-4E44-81C5-14BB835749F7I love to discover the relatively unknown and obscure places and pathways when we travel. I do this through a variety of research methods. Being from the Southeastern US, I didn’t know much about the beautiful state of Oklahoma. But my son and daughter-in-law were living in north Texas a couple of years ago, and we wanted an Oklahoma adventure.

I started a web search with the phrase “mountains near Dallas/Ft. Worth” and hit the jackpot – the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. This has become one of my favorite places in the world, full of authentic western scenery and wildlife- and it’s free!

“For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills.” Psalm 50:10.

What an awesome and generous God is ours! He created such a beautiful world for us to enjoy and get to know Him through. He takes such good care of us and everything He has created. I love to discover new things in His creation, but I long to discover new things about Him even more.
