Along an otherwise ordinary stretch of beach in Northern California is extraordinary and unexpected beauty. Cliffs covered by gorgeous wildflowers in an array of purple, pink, and white surround sandy beaches.
This amazing garden is not planted, nurtured, and tended by human hands, but it thrives in this often harsh environment because of the grace of God. We were blessed to discover this treasure close to sunset one cloudy evening when we visited in the summer of 2015. The way the evening light came through the clouds only enhanced the beauty of this garden that God planted.
“The LORD will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” Isaiah 58:11.
Like this lovely garden, we are nourished and refreshed by the Lord. He establishes us, guides us, satisfies our needs, and strengthens us. Even in the harsh environment of difficulty and adversity we endure while traveling through this sun-scorched land, He gives us everything we need to grow and thrive. He is a God who can be trusted.
